School Supply Drive Benefits Chickasha Teachers and Students
Wednesday, June 15, 2016 6:55 AM

Focus FCU Supply Drive

Oklahoma's Focus Federal Credit Union is collecting school supplies to benefit the Chickasha Public School Foundation’s Classroom Closet. The Classroom Closet is a free resource that provides teachers with much-needed school supplies and equipment that may be unattainable without assistance from the community.

Traci Alma, Focus FCU branch manager in Chickasha, said, “We are committed to improving education in the communities where we live and work. Many teachers spend money out of their own pockets to supplement the needs of their students, just so kids can try to keep up with school work. We also understand that equipping our children with the proper learning tools sets them on the path to success.”

The school supply drive will run through Aug. 30, 2016. The community is invited to drop off new school supplies and other classroom materials to Focus Federal Credit Union at 1704 S. First Street in Chickasha. Some of the most needed items include basic school supplies, such as paper, crayons, scissors, pencils, pens, glue, markers, folders, erasers, tissues and hand sanitizers, as well as other items used in classrooms every day.

Focus Federal Credit Union is a cooperatively owned, not-for-profit financial intuition with more than 11,000 members. For more information about Focus Federal Credit Union, please visit
