The San Angelo Chapter of Credit Unions has done it again—they've coordinated another successful food drive. Food donations were made on behalf of Rust Street Ministries, and the donation weighed in at 297 pounds. The chapter collected boxes of canned goods, and household and personal items such as bedding, towels, blankets, gloves, and beanies.

Rust Street Ministries helps thousands of people with food, clothing, and household items. The credit unions represented for donations included:

  • Concho Educators Federal Credit Union
  • Concho Valley Credit Union
  • San Angelo Federal Credit Union
  • Trans Texas Southwest Credit Union

Rust Street Ministries Director Bryan Jarvis expressed his sincere appreciation for the chapter's generous donation, especially all the food that helps so much during the holiday season.

Our focus is on neighbors helping neighbors. We don’t help the needy, we serve fellow members of our community—we are neighbors helping neighbors."

"Isn't that wonderful?" said Laura Whisenhunt, president/CEO of San Angelo Federal Credit Union. "His statement mirrors our credit union philosophy of People helping people."
