Robbery Preparedness Focus of Dec. 4 Webinar
Wednesday, November 20, 2013 6:35 AM

National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Regulation Part 748 requires credit unions to have a written security program designed to protect themselves against robberies, burglaries, larcenies, and embezzlement. In an effort to help reduce financial institution robberies, as well as to assist local, state and federal law enforcement with their robbery investigations, the FBI developed an initiative called “Bandit Shield.” On Dec. 4, the Cornerstone Credit Union League is offering an informative webinar that examines “Bandit Shield” and provides a fresh look at the robbery equation.

Presented by Barry Thompson, the Dec. 4 webinar explores:

  • How Internet websites can cause robberies
  • Robbery techniques using bombs or hand grenades
  • Recent robbery stories you can use to train staff
  • How robbery photos could make your financial institution a potential target

Webinar participants will receive resources for robbery awareness and an incident response form. Please click here to register and for additional information on the Dec. 4 webinar.

Webinars are internet-accessed training programs, are a very attractive educational tool for organizations of all sizes. Not only are they cost-effective, but they offer rich and relevant content presented by industry experts. Following are the other webinars available in December:
