Ring in Some Holiday Spirit with the Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees

The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation invites credit unions to its 5th annual Festival of Trees. The event takes place from 5:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Credit Union House of Oklahoma, located at 631 E. Hill Street in Oklahoma City.

The Festival of Trees is a great opportunity to network with your peers during the holiday season, while also supporting the credit union "people helping people" philosophy. This festive event will feature live music; complimentary wine, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres; and prizes.

This year, the Foundation auction will offer 6-foot trees, 4-foot trees, wreaths, and stockings along with some other great silent auction items.

Credit unions are also invited to participate by purchasing:

  • An artificial tree and decorating it with your chosen theme. Trees will be auctioned off during the event's live auction. To make your tree especially enticing, you may solicit donated items from vendors, such as tickets to sporting events, furniture, gift cards, etc.
  • A wreath to be auctioned off during the event’s silent auction.
  • A stocking to be auctioned off during the silent auction.

Chapters all over the region can support the Festival of Trees by auctioning off a tree, wreath, or stocking at their November or December Chapter Meeting in support of the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation.

Funds raised from the Festival of Trees will help the Foundation fulfill its mission of empowering people to improve their financial well-being. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting financial education programs for youth and adults, providing access to professional development for credit union staff and volunteers in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, and offering financial relief for credit union staff when disaster strikes.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP online by November 15, 2015.
