Dr. Jerry Punch

Registration is now open for the 2015 Southwest Lending Conference. “Performance-Driven Lending” is the focus for the conference, which will be held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on May 18-20.

Mark your calendar!

This annual conference is a great way for you and your credit union to be positioned on the leading edge of trends. Learn about all the hot topics and regulatory issues within the lending industry from experts who will assist you in developing new ideas and strategies to maximize loan growth at your credit union.

This year's opening general session will feature Dr. Jerry Punch, physician, sports broadcaster, father, and hero. Dr. Punch has had an illustrious career that credit union leaders will enjoy. Here's a taste of the reasons why...

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina State University, Dr. Punch became an ER doctor from 1982-86, and from 1986-92 led Punch & Associates, a group of ER physicians who treated patients in Central Florida.

During that time, he became a well-known face in auto racing as a broadcaster in radio and on ABC's Wide World of Sports. He served as a pit commentator and an expert analyst in the booth alongside veteran host Keith Jackson. As a regular member of the ABC Sports team, he provided valuable insight into mechanical and medical strategies of the racecar drivers and crew members.

Dr. Punch has served as a play-by-play and pit analyst on ESPN, and appears on more than 60 ESPN telecasts per year. Recently, Dr. Punch has been roaming the college football sidelines updating fans on injuries, predicting plays, and discussing locker-room strategies for ESPN and ESPN2. And that's not all! This dynamic keynote speaker will share much more of his fascinating life—including some inspiring heroism—with credit unions.

The Southwest Lending Conference is a great opportunity to network with your peers and gain new ideas that are working at credit unions similar to yours. Make plans now to attend the event and rev up your lending skills.
