Resource One Credit Union Hosts Student Education Classes
Wednesday, September 30, 2015 7:00 AM

Resource One Credit Union invited the students from the Business and Banking class at Yvonne A. Ewelle Townview Magnet Center to their credit union for a two-week training and seminar. During the training, students were introduced to the general functions of a credit union, how to operate as a teller, and ideas on how to be professional in any work environment.

As part of the training, Resource One employees provided an overview for each of their departments, including accounting, collections, compliance, mortgages, facilities, human resources, and marketing. Employees then held an open forum for students to ask questions about the multiple departments, education, and past work experience.

Phillip Crocker, director of cultural enhancement, said, “Far too few students learn the life skills that will ultimately lead to their personal financial success. These young adults are our future, and Resource One is committed to helping them develop not only financially but with their education as well.”
