Resource One Credit Union Announces Doug Bedner as Interim CEO
Tuesday, September 5, 2017 6:50 AM

After 41 years of service, Jim Brisendine retired as president and CEO of Resource One Credit Union, effective Aug. 21, 2017. Resource One’s board of directors has thanked Brisendine for his many contributions and dedicated service over the years. He played a major role in growing the credit union from $30 million in assets to $480 million in assets.

In anticipation of Brisendine’s retirement, Resource One’s board of directors has been conducting a nationwide search for a successor CEO for several months. The search is in its final stages.

B.A. Goebel, board chairman, announced that, effective Aug. 22, 2017, Doug Bedner, current chief operating officer, will serve as the credit union’s interim CEO.

Goebel commented, “Mr. Bedner has over 13 years of experience with Resource One Credit Union and has been serving as the chief operating officer for the last five years. In light of his success as the chief operating officer, it was logical to ask him to serve as Resource One Credit Union’s interim CEO.”

Bedner accepted the appointment stating, “I appreciate the confidence the board has expressed in me, and I am honored to serve Resource One Credit Union in this capacity through the transition.”

Bedner and Resource One’s board are committed to ensuring that Resource One continues the course it has charted over the past several years of strength, security, and growth. Resource One’s culture, core purpose, and values will continue to guide its team toward achieving its vision of being “Our Members’ One Resource.”
