The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is accepting registrations, as well as sponsorships for its Feb. 6-7 FOCUS Summit at the Doubletree Hotel Galleria in Dallas. • Educational Sponsor, $2,500
  • FOCUS Sponsor, $5,000

Headlining this year’s program is highly acclaimed author Jean Chatzky. Known for helping millions of people battle increasingly problematic debt, Chatzky has written eight books. Sharing the stage with Chatzky at this two-day program is Laura Ewing from the Texas Council on Economic Education and Susan Sharkey of the National Endowment for Financial Education.

The FOCUS Summit addresses the financial literacy problem in our country, and highlights solutions available to educators and financial institutions. This year’s event will also feature a life simulation on Feb. 6. Simulations are a valuable teaching tool. They provide an opportunity for educators, community leaders and financial industry professionals to begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month.

The fee to attend the two-day program is $250. Additional information on the FOCUS Summit, including online registration is available on the Foundation’s website, at www.cscuf.coop. If you have any questions, please contact the Foundation, at (800) 953-8283.
