Credit union leaders attending the 2014 Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference are advised that the Cornerstone Credit Union League is hosting a legislative briefing and a Spirit of Washington dinner cruise during the Feb. 23-27 conference. These two events are open only to Cornerstone affiliated-credit unions. Attendees will need to register for these two events on Cornerstone’s website, at

There is no charge for the legislative briefing, which will take place Feb. 24, at 4:15 p.m. The briefing should last about one hour and a meeting location will be announced at a later date. Attendees can expect a review of the most recent federal issues affecting credit unions.

The Sprit of Washington dinner cruise will be Feb. 25, and the cost is $125 per person, which includes dinner, open bar and transportation to and from the hotel.

Additionally, credit unions can submit an online request for Cornerstone to schedule an appointment with their district representative. To submit this request, attendees will need to click on “Registration” and from there they can select “register myself” or “register someone else from my organization (non-guest).” On this page, visitors will have the option to check a box for the legislative briefing and the Spirit of Washington dinner cruise. There is also a “Meeting Request” section. From the drop down menu bar you can select which representatives you’d like to meet with. You will then click “Save and Check Out.”
