Red River Credit Union employees have raised awareness for heart disease by participating in the American Heart Association's “Go Red for Women” campaign. Go Red for Women is the AHA's national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.

On Feb. 2, 85 Red River CU employees wore red with their jeans in service to the Go Red campaign and collected $369, which they donated to the American Heart Association affiliate in their area.

Go Red for Women was designated as one of 75 types of volunteerism (and/or donating 75 items to various organizations) that the credit union elected to perform as part of its 75th anniversary in 2018. Credit union leadership hopes to make this milestone year memorable for staff and members alike.

“We hope 2018 will be a year to remember for all of our staff and members," said Red River CU President Brad Bailey. "Each month’s activities will be meaningful, and we hope that we are able to make a great impact to all of our communities within Red River Credit Union.”

Texarkana-based Red River CU serves a membership of more than 78,000 and employs more than 260 local residents to manage over $807 million in assets. For more information on Red River Credit Union, please visit
