Record Turnout to Support Oklahoma CU Political Action Committee
Friday, March 25, 2016 7:00 AM

The Annual Century Club Dinner honoring contributors to the Oklahoma Credit Union Political Action Committee (PAC) drew record numbers on Monday night in Oklahoma City, during the Oklahoma Governmental Affairs Conference.

"This was far and away the largest number of people we have ever hosted for this event," said Nate Webb, president of the Oklahoma Credit Union Association. "It means interest in a vibrant PAC is vital to our advocacy success. It is very encouraging to see so many Oklahoma credit union professionals willing to roll up their sleeves and do what needs to be done to enjoy continued success."

During the dinner, awards were presented to those who played a particularly significant advocacy role in 2015. Tim Lyons, president/CEO of TTCU The Credit Union in Tulsa, was the recipient of the Troy Higgins Award, presented annually to one person who displayed an exemplary commitment to advocacy.

Each year, the PAC presents a “Legislator of the Year” award to a lawmaker deemed to have been particularly receptive and helpful in advancing the credit union cause. This year’s recipient was State Rep. Randy Grau (District 81).
