Ready, Set, PZC!
Wednesday, February 1, 2017 6:50 AM

The halls at our state capitols are active right now and roaring with the sounds of footsteps from credit union advocates like you. Many are equipped with a secret weapon: Project Zip Code, or PZC.

Project Zip Code is a secure and user-friendly program that counts your credit union members and matches them by state legislative district, congressional district, and county without compromising any member's privacy. And historical use of Project Zip Code with elected officials reveals just how powerful a tool it is. The data demonstrates the depth and breadth of the credit union system, not only in your state, but nationwide.

Member mobility and redistricting will change the numbers from previous years; and just like your vote, it's vital that every member be counted to make the most impact on legislative efforts that affect credit unions.

As we launch into February and prepare for our upcoming state and federal governmental affairs conferences, like the CUNA GAC and your state's GAC, we ask that all credit unions in the Cornerstone region update their files.

If you're not using Project Zip Code already, we strongly encourage you to look into it. Get more information about Project Zip Code here.

If you have questions about Project Zip Code, please contact April Krause at 469-385-6487 or at akrause@cornerstoneleague.coop.

Note: If for some reason you're unable to download the software, you can send April Krause your data file (.CSV or Excel format) including street address, city, state, and zip code, and she'll upload your file for you.
