Principles & Philosophy Conference: Learn How to Market Your CU in 60 Seconds
Friday, February 28, 2014 6:30 AM

Cynthia Campbell, director of Innovation Labs at Filene will be facilitating the “60 Second Marketing Segment” at the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s upcoming Principles & Philosophy Conference May 12-14 in Dallas. This two-day conference is a must attend conference for any credit union leader – professionals and volunteers alike – looking to expand their knowledge and understanding, as well as learning how to best leverage the credit union principles and philosophy.

If you have worked in a credit union for a few years, hopefully you know why credit unions exist and what makes them unique. But can you answer the question of “What is a credit union” in 60 seconds or less? During this enlightening presentation facilitated by Campbell, the credit union audience will learn how to create a short “marketing segment” or elevator speech to explain to both members and non-members exactly what your credit union does and why.

According to Campbell, elevator speeches are marketing tools to answer those questions, and answer them quickly without losing your audience’s attention.  At Principles & Philosophy Conference, credit unions will have an opportunity to learn from marketers in three states how they have created elevator speeches that work for their credit unions.

Cornerstone’s Principles & Philosophy Conference explores the history and role of credit unions in the marketplace; the value of cooperative philosophies and how to apply in the day-to-day operations of your credit union; historical and current social impact of credit unions, and why credit unions are different and how to leverage that for growth

If you have any questions about the Principles & Philosophy Conference, please contact Training & Events, at (469) 385-6630 or (800) 442-5762, ext. 6630.
