Post-Election Advocacy Call for Credit Unions on Thursday, Nov. 10
Tuesday, November 8, 2016 6:50 AM

Please mark your calendars now for a special post-election advocacy conversation hosted by Credit Union National Association on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. (CT). This free call-in will review and discuss in detail how the election results will shape our advocacy efforts moving forward.

Your RSVP is required.

Drawing from a white paper the CUNA advocacy team will distribute in the days following the election, Scott Simpson, CULAC chair and president/CEO of the Utah Credit Union Association, CUNA Chief of Staff/Chief Operating Officer Rich Meade, CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan, and Jim Nussle will cover:

  • Our success in electing credit union champions;
  • How the election results will alter the landscape in Washington—including the makeup of pertinent congressional committees, such as the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Banking Committee—and how credit unions can best navigate this new environment with their advocacy efforts; and
  • How the new administration may have an impact on our industry, including through the ability to appoint new members to our regulatory bodies.

The conversation will close with a question and answer session.
