Play Golf in Denver as Part of World Credit Union Conference
Thursday, March 26, 2015 6:45 AM

The Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions invites you to join them on July 11 in Denver, Colorado, for a round of golf on one of America's most photographed courses, Arrowhead Golf Club. The tournament benefits the Global Women's Leadership Network, a program dedicated to advancing women in leadership and supporting women's access to financial services worldwide.

The golf tournament precedes the joint America's Credit Union Conference and World Credit Union Conference in Denver on July 12-15. The three-day conference is designed for high-level credit union leaders from around the globe including credit union staff, board of directors, supervisory committee members, and international regulators—a a premier event for future-focused credit unions from around the world. You can find out more about the conference here.

Cornerstone Credit Union League Executive Vice President Karen Hart was appointed to the Worldwide Foundation Fundraising Committee and sees tremendous value in supporting women's leadership development through fun events like the golf tournament.

"The network was created to provide women with the opportunity and resources to make measureable differences in each other's lives, as well as in the lives of credit union members," Hart said. "My experience through the Credit Union Development Educator program and involvement with the World Council has shown me that we together can make a difference, one person at a time."

Not only is this a terrific opportunity to attend an event that draws global attention, it also takes place this year in the United States. Next year, you'll have to pop for plane fare to Belfast, Ireland where the 2016 event takes place.

The golf tournament presents Mile-High opportunities to network with international credit union leaders and golf amongst Colorado's majestic flat irons in Roxborough Park and striking red sandstone rocks. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, green fees, cart rental and transportation to and from select conference venues.

When: Saturday, July 11, 2015
Location: Arrowhead Golf Club
Cost: $250 ($325 after May 15, 2015)
