Jonathan Matthews and Dick Ensweiler
Pineywoods Chapter President Jonathan Matthews (Southland FCU) presents retiring Cornerstone CEO Dick Ensweiler with a going-away present.

Cornerstone Credit Union League CEO Dick Ensweiler was the speaker at the Pineywoods Chapter meeting on Oct. 11, during their annual CUPAC fundraiser. Ensweiler was also the auctioneer for the fundraiser, which this year raised $2,615, their highest total ever.

“We always enjoy each time Dick visits our chapter, and I am so glad he was able to join us for one last time before his retirement,” said Cornerstone VP of Asset/Liability Management Debbie Rightmire, who is league liaison for the Pineywoods Chapter. “This is always such a fun night, and I am so proud of the chapter for exceeding their fundraising goals.”

Chapter members presented Ensweiler a gift basket and a retirement card signed by all of the credit union managers. Pineywoods Chapter President Jonathan Matthews, of Southland FCU, said that in the gift basket, they gave him some Standpipe coffee—a local downtown coffee shop in Lufkin—a couple of coffee cups with emblazoned pine trees, some candy from Atkinson candy store, and some cigars to enjoy when he has his morning cup of coffee.

"It truly touched me that he picked our chapter as one to participate with," said Matthews. "We hope Dick liked what we picked out for him and that he knows how much he will be missed by us all. He has been a true leader."
