Personalized Performance, Economic Reports Available Now
Wednesday, October 4, 2017 6:55 AM

The June 2017 Personalized Performance Report was recently emailed to your credit union. This information is developed quarterly specifically for your credit union and provides a customized snapshot of financial performance and peer comparisons in the current operating environment. The Economic Report is also published quarterly and incorporates Cornerstone-driven results with narrative that addresses a time-sensitive topic and includes listings of top-performing credit unions across our region.

Future Personalized Performance Reports will be emailed to the CEO. We hope this will be a more convenient and timely way of obtaining the information and make it much easier to share with board and staff members. As in prior periods, the PowerPoint slide deck of the credit union’s key ratios and graphs will follow in a separate email within a few days.

The Economic Report and quarterly performance summary will be available online within 7 days under the Services tab located on the Cornerstone Credit Union League homepage at Prior period Economic Reports are archived and may be accessed via this web page. These special reports from previous quarters include:

September 2016 – Liquidity Management

December 2016 – Asset Quality

March 2017 – Cost of Funds

The focus of this quarter’s Economic Report is auto lending. Data through mid-year suggests that Cornerstone credit unions enjoyed an increase in auto lending while maintaining stable loan quality during the second quarter. However, since the end of June, a significant number of credit union members in the southern part of our region experienced devastating effects as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

While it is difficult to predict the long-term impact on lending, liquidity, and loan quality, we have partnered with Callahan & Associates to put together case studies and articles about what credit unions have experienced during natural disasters, including a recent entry by Callahan partner Chip Filson. Directions on how to access this complimentary information are included in the letter accompanying the Personalized Performance Report.

We hope you are actively using this report and find it to be a valuable resource for your credit union. If you have questions about the Personalized Performance Report, please contact Mike Delker, SVP of credit union relations at or Deborah Rightmire, VP of asset/liability management at
