Permian Chapter Golf Tournament Attendees

The Permian Chapter of Credit Unions (PCCU) held their 23rd Annual Golf Tournament benefiting Children’s Miracle Network in October 2016 at the Ratliff Ranch Golf Links in Odessa, Texas, and as a result raised $68,590.

The tournament was organized by the PCCU Chapter Golf Committee: Jason Berridge, Karen Lightfoot, and Casey Mayfield. Participants included chapter credit union volunteers, vendors, and local business owners. Sponsors included credit union vendors, local business owners, and chapter credit unions.

The Permian Chapter of Credit Unions helps raise money for children in the local communities, funding much-needed medical equipment, medical treatments, and medical research to help save the many children in need.

Golf TournamentThe history of this event embodies the spirit of the credit union difference. The chapter held its first golf tournament fundraising for TCUL PAC in 1994. Then in 1998, organizers added the Children’s Miracle Network as beneficiary of the fundraising. In 2009, they added the “Dallas Cowboy VIP Suite Package,” donated by one of their vendors to help raise even more money for CMN. For every $10 donation, contributors could enter a drawing for a chance to win the package, which included two VIP suite tickets to the home game of the winner's choice. Permian Chapter has also donated a $1,500 cash card to help with expenses.

The Permian Chapter received a Miracle Match grant through Co-Op Financial that would match dollar per dollar raised up to $10,000, and in 2016 the Permian Chapter of Credit Unions raised $68,590, including the $10,000 Co-Op Miracle Match.

The total money raised since 1998 by the Permian Chapter of Credit Unions is an impressive $462,276.
