Former Tulsa Branch Manager to Fill New Dealer Liaison Position

No grass grows under the feet of the movers and shakers at Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU). Two new staff changes headline the TFCU newsroom.

Sean Barton, Dealer Liaison
The credit union has named Sean Barton, former assistant vice president and branch manager of the Tulsa branches, as its new dealer liaison. In that new position, Barton will serve as a TFCU ambassador to auto dealerships in the eastern half of the state. Barton had been branch manager for five years.

“We thought Sean would be perfect for this new position because of his professionalism and passion,” said Loretta Ross, vice president and manager of indirect lending. “He has assisted in growing TFCU, and we believe he can help us grow in the community even further.”

Barton said it is this passion for Tulsa that makes him most excited about the position.

“I feel being on the branch side of things has given me a unique perspective into our members’ needs,” Barton said. “I think this will be important for me as I continue to help grow the market on the lending side.”

Jim Schaefer, AVP, Branch Manager
Tinker has named Jim Schaefer as the new assistant vice president and branch manager of the Tulsa branches to replace Sean Barton. While new to TFCU, Schaefer is not new to the credit union industry. He said TFCU impressed him so much that after visiting the Tulsa branch one time he immediately went online to check for open positions that would fit his experience and goals. He continued to check until the Tulsa branch manager position became available.

“I’m excited to get to know my members and work with such an amazing staff,” Schaefer said. “I am looking forward to working for a credit union that has so much growth potential.”

Tinker Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in Oklahoma, with $3.5 billion in assets and over 332,000 members.
