Wednesday, July 24, 2013 5:55 AM

Pat Mott, retired Arlington FCU president, has died. Viewing/visitation will be held this Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wade Funeral Home, located at 4140 Pioneer Parkway in Arlington, Texas. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. July 27, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive also in Arlington. There will be a rosary said at the church just prior to the memorial service.

Mott retired from Arlington FCU in March, after 36 years of service. When Mott began her career in 1976, Arlington FCU was a simple share, certificate and loan credit union serving the City of Arlington employees and their families. As the credit union grew in services, added checking and card services, and mortgage, home improvement, and home equity loans, 57 select employee groups were granted membership eligibility. In 1998 and 2001, the credit union was granted a charter to serve the communities of Arlington and Mansfield.

During Mott’s 36 year Arlington FCU career she was involved in programs with the Chambers of Commerce, Arlington Heart Walks, Mansfield Hometown Festivals, and Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions. She was a member of the Rotary Club, served on the DFW Credit Union Awareness Council, is a Certified Credit Union Executive, and a 32-year Alumni of the Southwest CUNA Management School.

Mott served as a director to the Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) from 1990-1998 and a director to Southwest Corporate FCU (now Catalyst Corporate FCU) from 1991-2010.
