Tuesday, October 20, 2015 6:50 AM

Night for the House Event

On Sept. 24, Oklahoma credit unions came together for their annual fundraiser for the Credit Union House of Oklahoma, Night for the House. During the event, almost 200 attendees sampled wine, sodas, and desserts while purchasing raffle tickets for Herman Miller Eames chairs, concert tickets, Thunder tickets, OSU, and OU tickets—and much more.

Attendees also participated in wine and soda pulls. This year’s event raised over $55,000 in support of Credit Union House maintenance. This is the sixth year for the fundraiser, and it continues to be a successful event.

Mike Kloiber, head of the planning committee and CEO of Tinker Federal Credit Union, said of the event, “This Night for the House celebration was the best one ever. The support for this fabulous facility could be felt throughout the evening and through the financial support of credit unions, vendors, individuals, and the League."

Kloiber encouraged everyone to mark their calendars for next year's celebration on Sept. 29, 2016.

Also on the planning committee are Nancy Entz and Barbie Lindsey, Tinker Federal Credit Union; Tricia Jones, Oklahoma Employees Credit Union; Stephen Lark, Communication FCU; Dawn Simon, WEOKIE Credit Union; Alison Wolf, FAA Credit Union; and Brandon Walker, Cornerstone Credit Union League.
