Oklahoma CU Association Thanks CUs with PAC-A-Palooza
Wednesday, June 21, 2017 6:55 AM

Oklahoma Credit Union Association staff set up for the first PAC-A-Palooza event at Oklahoma Employees Credit Union.

The Oklahoma Credit Union Association (OKCUA) staff has accomplished the first of several PAC-A-Palooza events designed to thank credit union employees for their participation in the Oklahoma Credit Union Association Political Action Committee (OCUPAC).

Oklahoma Employees Credit Union (OECU) in Oklahoma City was the first stop for the PAC-A-Palooza. OKCUA staff grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for approximately 80 OECU employees.

“We wanted to find a fun way to highlight the importance of OCUPAC,” said Nate Webb, president of OKCUA. “It gives us a chance to say thank you to OCUPAC contributors, and for people who might not be active, it gives us a wonderful opportunity to discuss the importance of grassroots engagement.”

OECU President/CEO Mark Kelly introduces State Senator David Holt during Monday's inaugural PAC-A-Palooza.

Oklahoma State Sen. David Holt joined OECU employees for lunch and discussed the importance of a political action committee as a critical component of any advocacy program.

More PAC-A-Palooza events are scheduled for the coming weeks. “We have three more events scheduled so far," Webb said. "We are starting with some of our most active OCUPAC supporters and are in the process of booking more."

In the meantime, if you would like to host an event in Oklahoma, please call Nate Webb at 405-445-1510 or email
