Oklahoma Central Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

Oklahoma Central Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2015-2016 school year. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2015, and requirements and application instructions are available at

Through its fundraising efforts, Oklahoma Central Foundation is able to award scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $2,500 and will be granted based on the applicant's essay submission and level of community involvement.

"Scholarships are such a critical component of the Oklahoma Central Foundation mission due to the fact that for many students, it is what makes a difference between being able to obtain a post-secondary education and not," said Gina Wilson, President of Oklahoma Central Foundation. "We are thrilled to be able to offer this program to our members and the community. By doing so, we're providing easier access to resources for them to pursue their dreams."

For students to be eligible, they must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be a current high school senior
  • Applicants must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States, and
    • a legal resident of the State of Oklahoma, OR
    • a member of Oklahoma Central Credit Union
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicants must be accepted as a full time student at a college, university or trade school program in Oklahoma for the upcoming 2015-2016 academic semester 
  • Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application with accompanying materials by the designated deadline
