Thursday, October 16, 2014 6:40 AM

The Compliance Review Seminar on Nov. 13 will be held in Dallas and will cover all of the new and old rules relating to opening accounts in Texas. Presented by Deborah Crawford, a well-known speaker in the credit union industry, this training will be beneficial for branch managers and tellers or anyone opening accounts or dealing with account documents.

Crawford will also cover the types of identification, like matricular cards, visas, and gun permits and whether these acceptable or not. POA statutes and the renumbering of statutes, new kinds of accounts, and tax forms are just a few of the changes made in 2014 that will affect credit union accounts. Better reporting procedures to allow your credit union to serve its diverse membership better will be addressed as well.

An extensive manual will also be given to each attendee as well as a CD for later use. For more information on the Compliance Review Seminar or to register, please visit
