New Security Service FCU Movers and Shakers

Yvonne CarrionSecurity Service Federal Credit Union, a financial institution with $8 billion in assets and 70 locations in Texas, Colorado, and Utah, has announced that Yvonne Carrion has been named branch manager of their Castroville branch.

Carrion will be responsible for branch operations, sales, service, employee development, and growth of membership. She has been with SSFCU since 2006, where she started out as a part-time teller.

"The Castroville branch will benefit from Yvonne’s talents and dedication to the team," said Henry Ibarra, assistant vice president of Member Service. "SSFCU was fortunate to be able to fill this position with the caliber and talents that Yvonne brings to the team."

Carrion said of her promotion, "I feel very fortunate to be able to work with such an amazing company that has guided and molded me into the professional I am today. Working with SSFCU has allowed me to grow not only professionally, but personally as well, all while being able to assist and serve our wonderful members of San Antonio."

An active community volunteer, Carrion volunteers through Junior Achievement in two high schools, coaches youth sports, and participates in a variety of community nonprofit events throughout the year.

Karyn DraegerSSFCU also announced that Karyn Draeger has joined the credit union as its employee wellbeing advisor, responsible for serving as a confidential bridge between employees and resources, information, referrals, and support for employees and their families who may be encountering issues affecting their home or work life.

Prior to joining SSFCU, she was a benefits professional with Whataburger LLC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
