New SCMS Faculty Member Will Inspire Students to “Spark Innovation”
Monday, June 10, 2013 6:55 AM

How often have you been told you need to find ways to do more with less? Given the economic quagmire of the last five years, credit union leaders have probably heard or said that more than they would care to admit. But how do you do it?

Innovation is the key, says one Southwest CUNA Management School (SCMS) faculty member, who will be inspiring credit union leaders at the upcoming SCMS Summer Session beginning July 7.

Filene Research Institute i3 Member Linda Young, director of Research & Products at Coastal Capital Savings CU in Vancouver, Canada, says every credit union has the potential to do more. But actually reaching that potential requires credit union leaders to unleash the innovation within themselves and their credit union. Ms. Young will help credit union leaders gain insights into the innovation continuum, learn how to recognize and spark innovation, and most importantly, implement their innovative strategies.
