An internationally recognized consumer finance expert published in dozens of publications, Mark has lectured to audiences up to 4,000 in locations across, Asia, Australia, Europe, North Africa, and North America. He has advised the US Department of the Treasury and lectured in a variety of academic settings, including Harvard Business School.
Mark is an attorney licensed to practice law in Colorado and Arizona, formerly of the firm of Montgomery, Little & McGrew. He also held executive posts with Arizona State Credit Union and CUNA Mutual Group. He served on the board of directors for Summit Credit Union, the largest credit union in Wisconsin, for ten years.
Douglas A. Fecher has spent his entire career working in the credit union industry, starting as a teller at Chaco Credit Union in Hamilton, Ohio. Before becoming President/CEO, he was Vice President of Lending and later Chief Operating Officer of WPCU.
Mr. Fecher has extensive involvement within the credit union industry. He is Chairman of the Board of Managers of myCUmortgage; on the board of Cooperative Business Services, a credit union commercial lending company; on the Board of Trustees of Callahan & Associates, a credit union consulting company; and on the Board of Managers of Credit Union Outreach Solutions, Inc., an organization working to find cooperative solutions for improving the financial health of consumers. On the national level, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Consumer Federation of America, the nation’s leading organization advocating on behalf of consumers.
Mr. Fecher chairs the National Credit Union Roundtable and sits on the Governmental Affairs Committee of both the Credit Union National Association and Ohio Credit Union League. He is also a member of the Filene Research Institute Research Council, a credit union think-tank headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.
Kirk Kordeleski is widely considered a breakthrough financial performer with an unmatched track record of growing credit unions and providing leadership and direction in the non-profit community. Mr. Kordeleski is a relentless bottom-line driver respected industry-wide for leading Bethpage Federal Credit Union to become the largest credit union in the Northeastern United States.
As CEO of BFCU, Mr. Kordeleski steered the corporate strategic vision and operating plans for this $5.75 billion community institution. He personally led and motivated a senior leadership team of 14, and their 550+ indirect reports, to peak performance levels, ensuring world-class member service, strong financial performance, and consistent, high-velocity growth.
Mr. Kordeleski elevated BFCU’s national standing to become the 15th largest credit union in the United States with more than 250,000 members. The company’s assets grew 450+% throughout his tenure, from $950 million to $5.75 billion, doubling size of the organization every five years.
