New and Seasoned Volunteers Will Find Opportunities at Directors Symposium
Monday, August 10, 2015 6:20 AM

Directors Symposium

Credit unions are relying more than ever on the governance abilities of their boards of directors and volunteers and, as such, are requiring continuing education. The Directors Symposium is your credit union's answer to finding educational opportunities for new and seasoned volunteers.

Here are just some of the topics this symposium will address:

  • Understanding the Audit Report
  • Asset Liability Management for Directors
  • The Basics of Risk Assessment for Volunteers
  • Financial Management
  • Financial Reports for Volunteers
  • Managing Risk for Volunteers

Scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio prior to the start of the Leadership Conference and Expo, the 2015 Directors Symposium provides volunteers with an opportunity to meet NCUA’s Board Financial Literacy requirement and earn the CUNA Board Financial Literacy certificate.

If you have already taken and passed any of these modules, you will only be required to attend and test on the ones you are still missing. To check which modules you’ve already taken and passed, contact Cookie Dorsey at for your records.
