Metro Medical Credit Union Announces Selection of New VP

Metro Medical Credit Union has named Cesar Ruiz as its new vice president, effective Monday, August 17, 2015. The executive search was conducted by Credit Union Resources for the $66 million dollar credit union.

Credit Union Resources was selected to conduct this executive search because of their experience in the credit union industry. With their innovative approach to executive search, Credit Union Resources utilized digital interviewing to help the credit union identify the best candidate for this role.

Ruiz received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University and an Associate of Liberal Arts from Kingsborough Community College. He is licensed by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and holds several certifications from the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

Ruiz brings more than 19 years of experience in commercial business development, sales operation, and marketing strategies for financial organizations. His strong business acumen, leadership, and networking skills will help Metro Medical continue its mission to provide secure, friendly, professional, and competitive financial services to its members.

Previously the founder and principal consultant at Fundeloan Micro Finance, Ruiz advised small business owners on practical business development and funding strategies. He provided coaching and mentoring support to entrepreneurs, as well as bookkeeping and tax preparation services.

Prior to Fundeloan, Ruiz was the director of small business/commercial lender at InTouch Credit Union where he was responsible for business development and account relationship management in the Michigan, Virginia, Nevada, and North Dallas area. During his leadership at the credit union, he successfully implemented the business services and business development strategy to streamline small business lending operations.
