Members of the Arkansas Credit Union Association (ACUA) met with Congressman French Hill (R-AR-2) on the afternoon of Thursday, May 4.

Hill talked about the CFPB and its far-reaching authority and what Congress is doing to help financial institutions serve their constituents. He also talked about HB 3048, the Community Financial Institution Exemption Act, and the need for bipartisan support.

“Congressman Hill is one of Congress’ most well-versed experts on issues relating to financial institutions,” said Windy Campbell, Cornerstone Credit Union League's governmental affairs conference chairman. “We are pleased he has taken a leadership role in fighting for the rights of financial institutions to serve their member clients.”

“We appreciate the opportunity to visit with Congressman Hill,” said Reta Kahley, ACUA president. “It is always a pleasure to hear his opinions about financial issues. His depth and breadth of knowledge of financial institutions and their current regulatory needs is a tremendous asset for Arkansas credit unions.”
