Member Business Services Council Hosts Webinar March 13
Monday, February 10, 2014 6:25 AM

Business lending has been a huge growth area for credit unions in the past couple years. Are you trying to decide how business services might fit into your credit union’s strategic plan? Along with the opportunities this can provide for both the credit union and your members, do you fully understand the challenges that also come along with business services and the many factors that must be carefully considered to help ensure success?

Make plans to join the Member Business Services Council March 13, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. for its “Is business the business of credit unions - The Challenges and Opportunities of Business Lending and Business Services” webinar. During this webinar, leading credit union consultant Dennis Dollar, a former NCUA Chairman and credit union CEO himself, looks at the current trends in business lending and services for the credit union industry, and discussed the opportunities and the challenges with a "no holds barred" approach that will help participants better understand whether this is an arena to pursue or postpone.

The registration fee is $100 for individuals who are not members of the Member Business Services Council, and registration for council members is free.

To register, simply email Jennifer Green at For more information on the Member Business Services Council or to join, please click here.

The Member Business Services Council was organized in 2011 by the Louisiana Credit Union League to provide service and support to credit union professionals engaged in offering member business services, including business lending, or those who are exploring the possibility of offering services to business members. In 2014, the Member Business Services Council partnered with the Cornerstone Credit Union League to expand membership opportunities to credit unions in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

The overall direction for the Member Business Services Council is provided by the council’s advisory committee that plans the curriculum for council meetings, develops website content, participates in the listserv, and promotes council activities at local chapter events.

If you have any questions, you may contact Mike Delker, senior vice president with the Cornerstone, at (800) 442-5762, ext. 6826, or at
