McDermott Promoted to Credit Union Resources VP Sales
Thursday, August 4, 2016 7:00 AM

Carmela McDermott

Credit Union Resources has announced the promotion of Carmela McDermott to vice president of sales. In this position, McDermott will be responsible for providing products and service solutions to credit unions in the areas along the Texas Gulf Coast, including Houston, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley area.

Before switching to the sales team, McDermott spent more than 22 years doing staffing and recruiting for Credit Union Resources and, in fact, helped develop the employment services department.

"I have a real passion for helping people and making a difference in their lives, so staffing and recruiting were very rewarding aspects of work for me," said McDermott. "I will certainly miss my staffing team; they are very talented and will be able to move the department forward."

Many of the areas McDermott will cover in her new position will be the same, so she will be a familiar face to many. "I'm enthusiastic about my new team and my new role," she said. "And I very much look forward to meeting my new credit unions, listening to their needs and wants, and being able to provide them with the solutions they need to be successful."

“We are very pleased to have Carmela join the sales team," said Bob Rehm, Credit Union Resource VP sales and service. "She brings to the job extensive credit union relationships and a high level of respect in the credit union community.”
