Marketing & Business Development Conference: Aligning Business Development; Marketing to Drive Growth; Deepen Relationship
Tuesday, August 20, 2013 6:40 AM

We are just two weeks away from the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s (League) Sept. 3-5 Marketing & Business Development Conference in San Antonio. This year’s conference features five general sessions and 12 breakout educational sessions.

Following are but a handful of educational sessions featured at the upcoming conference:

  • Farming Your own Back Yard: Retaining Members for Life: Some credit unions tend to focus more on gaining more members instead of mastering the art of how to turn their own members into Members for Life. Cultivating and retaining loyal members is often a lot less expensive than going out and bringing in new members. This session will help credit unions learn how to grow their own backyard.
  • Diff'rent Strokes for Diff'rent Folks: Customizing your BD Strategy to Reach Your Audience: This business development professional’s panel will examine different growth strategies. From utilizing metrics to grassroots efforts, attendees will discover what their peers are doing to attract business.
  • The PULSE: Youth Perspective on Credit Unions: This session features a youth panel discussion. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to hear from a younger demographic and learn how their credit union can be more successful in serving the younger generation.
  • Brand Your Department with ROI: Speak the CEO's Language: Is your marketing department considered the “arts and crafts” division or a valuable, strategic entity? How can you brand your department as the vital business-driver that it is? This session will help your department speak directly to your internal target audience: the CEO and CFO.
  • Creating a Communication Strategy that Speaks: Creating a communications strategy is an art, and a science. In this session, learn how to formulate an effective strategy that proactively markets your organization to increase brand awareness and meet business objectives.

Credit union marketing and business development professionals, presidents, CEOs, and really anyone connected with member contact and the products or operations of the credit union are encouraged to take advantage of this educational opportunity.

Registration for the Sept. 3-5 conference is available online.

The Marketing & Business Development Conference is being held in conjunction with the League’s Leadership Conference & Expo Sept. 5-7, also in San Antonio.  The Leadership conference features 24 educational sessions, three general sessions and four best practice panel discussions.
