Magic Valley Chapter Hosts Seminar on Lending to People, Not Numbers

The Magic Valley Chapter of Credit Unions hosted their monthly chapter meeting on Sept. 22, featuring a presentation by Charles J. Blake, founder and CEO of Blake Credit Union Services, Inc.

Blake’s presentation, titled “Lending to People not Numbers,” focused on the fact that credit unions are unique in the financial industry because of our commitment to the philosophy of people helping people. Nowhere is this more important than when we are considering a loan application from a member.

looking beyond the numbers and, most importantly, seeing the person making the application.

Attendees enjoyed dinner, door prizes, and a drawing for a big screen TV. Chapter meetings offer a forum for credit union people to network and learn. They are open to all credit union staff and volunteers.
