Cornerstone’s Customized Economic Report Now Available Online

The Cornerstone Credit Union League’s quarterly Economic Report is now easily accessible on the League’s website. This dues-supported benefit, compiled exclusively for our member-owners, compares the performance of credit unions in the three-state Cornerstone region with all U.S. credit unions. DATCU Helps United Way of Denton County Raise $16,719

DATCU Credit Union, working with United Way of Denton, raised $16,719 this year with a Jet Ski raffle. Net proceeds will be used to help United Way of Denton County in their support of 20 partner agencies focused on making lives better for people residing in Denton County, including children, seniors, families, and veterans, as well as those experiencing homelessness and mental illness.

NCUA Board Proposes Closing Stabilization Fund

The National Credit Union Administration Board met for its July meeting with Chairman Mark McWatters presiding at his first meeting since his appointment as the agency's 10th chairman. The meeting began with a quarterly report on the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), followed by a proposal on emergency mergers and the mid-session budget review. The final two items included a proposal for comment on the closure of the Temporary Corporate Credit Union Stabilization Fund (TCCUSF), setting of the NCUSIF normal operating level, and a proposal on NCUSIF equity distributions.

NCUA Restructuring Plans; Regional Offices to Consolidate

The National Credit Union Administration has announced that the agency plans to reorganize its operations. NCUA will consolidate five regional offices into three by closing the Albany, N.Y., and Atlanta, Ga., offices and eliminate four of the agency’s five leased facilities.
