Cornerstone Foundation Disburses $2,100,680 in Harvey Disaster Relief

Five months has passed since Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on the southern Texas coast. As the winds from Harvey turned into a tropical storm and traveled east along the coast, the winds were no longer the main threat for disaster. Rain poured like many native Texans had never seen before. Floodwaters spilled into many people’s homes, destroying memories and leaving behind massive destruction.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Acting Director Mick Mulvaney announced yesterday that he has named Kirsten Sutton Mork chief of staff for the agency. Sutton Mork has been serving as staff director of the House Financial Services Committee under Chairman Jeb Hensarling.
