Comments on NCUA bylaws, fidelity bonds proposals due in January

This month, both NCUA and the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) have comment deadlines for proposed rules. The NCUA proposals involve bylaws and fidelity bonds, while the FHFA proposal deals with amendments to Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) housing goals.

Windthorst FCU gives $300,000 to members in dividends and rebates

The Windthorst Federal Credit Union board of directors announced that $300,000 in bonus dividends and loan interest rebates were paid to members for dividends earned on deposits and loan interest paid on loans for accounts in good standing as of Dec. 31, 2018.

CFPB releases rule assessments on Ability-to-Repay, Mortgage Servicing

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released assessment reports on its Ability-to-Repay/Qualified Mortgage (ATR/QM) and mortgage servicing rules Thursday. The Dodd-Frank Act required the bureau to assess the impact of both rules.
