League Staff Volunteer for Meadowlands Nursing Home
Tuesday, December 1, 2015 6:45 AM

Recently, a number of Cornerstone Credit Union League and Credit Union Resources employees visited the Meadows Rehabilitation Center to take part in community service. In the spirit of our Credit Unions Care campaign, the staff visited with residents and met in a main area to play Bingo and cards.

HR Consultant Kim Jones said, “I’ve visited the Meadows Rehab Center for the past four years, and it’s one of the volunteer opportunities I’ve come to really enjoy and look forward to each year. The residents there are wonderful and make us feel so welcome. It is a humbling experience to see how much joy they receive from us being there and hosting a few Bingo games for them. I’m thankful to work for a company that values that and affords me the opportunity to do so.”

Small Credit Union Development AVP Kati Buchanan said, "It is an honor and pleasure working with the Meadows Rehabilitation Center. The residents are always grateful when we come in to socialize and play bingo. Knowing that I get to make a person’s day just a tad better is priceless gift. I am grateful that Cornerstone Credit Union League provides many opportunities for us to give back to our communities."
