Leadership Conference: Seven Secrets of Inspiring Leaders
Thursday, July 25, 2013 5:20 AM

According to a recent Gallup survey, only 30 percent of American employees feel engaged or inspired at their jobs and the vast majority of U.S. workers (70 percent) are not reaching their full potential. The 2013 State of the American Workplace Report estimates that widespread disinterest and unhappiness in the office is not only affecting company performance, but is costing the U.S. $450 billion to $550 billion a year. Accomplished author and motivational speaker Carmine Gallo says it’s up to the leaders within the organization to motivate and inspire staff.

Gallo is the closing presenter at the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s Sept. 5-7 Leadership Conference & Expo in San Antonio. During his session, which is sponsored by Credit Union Resources, Inc., Gallo will outline what he considers as the seven secrets of inspiring leaders:

  1. Ignite your enthusiasm
  2. Navigate a course of action
  3. Sell the benefit
  4. Paint a picture
  5. Invite participation
  6. Reinforce optimism
  7. Encourage potential

Online registration for the 2013 Leadership Conference & Expo is well underway, and if you haven’t yet submitted your registration, be sure and do so by Aug. 2, in order to secure the best conference and hotel rates.  Click here to learn more about this year’s program.
