Join the Business World’s Top Thought Leaders in Ottawa
Wednesday, March 27, 2013 4:20 AM

The World Council of Credit Unions will hold its World Credit Union Conference, July, 14–17, in Ottawa, Canada.  This year’s conference features new ideas from some of the business world's foremost thought leaders, including:

  • Simon Sinek, author of Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action. Sinek is best known for his theory of the "Golden Circle" — a naturally occurring pattern, grounded in the biology of human decision making, that explains why we are inspired by some people and organizations over others. Sinek teaches graduate-level strategic communications at Columbia University.
  • Charlene Li, author of New York Times best-sellers Groundswell and Open Leadership and founder of the Altimeter Group. Li is one of the foremost experts on social media and technologies. As former vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, Li was named one of the 100 most creative people in business by Fast Company.
  • Ian Shelley, technological leader in IT systems, operations and mobile payments and former partner at KPMG. Shelley's 20 years of experience spans credit unions, banks, regulators and infrastructure provides in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Bermuda.

Those planning to attend should register by May. 9, in order to save $200 on the registration fee.  For more information, please visit www.Ottawa2013.org.
