Jim Bryan Passes Away; Services to be Held Tomorrow

James L. “Jim” Bryan, retired president and CEO of Texans CU died May 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., at the Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco, Texas, followed by Graveside Service at 1:30 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Bryan, Cornerstone Credit Union League’s 2004 Credit Union Hall of Fame inductee, served three decades as president and CEO of Texans CU. The organizations that benefited from his involvement, commitment, knowledge and expertise were plentiful, including Dallas Chapter of Credit Unions, Town North Bank, Cornerstone, Catalyst FCU (formerly Southwest Corporate FCU), CUNA, Filene Research Institute and the CUNA Mutual Group. 

Preceded in death by parents, James and Blanche Bryan; daughter, Linda Bryan; and brother, Richard Bryan, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy; daughter, Laura and husband, Matt; son, Jimmy and wife, Katy; and grandsons, Patrick, Cole, and Cash.
