It's Not Too Late to Register for the Feb. 6 FOCUS Summit
Monday, February 2, 2015 6:40 AM

The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation's annual FOCUS Summit Financial Education Conference is Feb. 5-6, 2015, at the Doubletree Galleria Hotel in Dallas—and it's not too late to register!

The two-day summit is open to all credit union professionals, community leaders, and educators as an opportunity to network, share best practices, and learn about available resources, as well as explore proven techniques and strategies for deploying financial education into local schools and communities.

Participants will get to see Ted Beck, president/CEO of the National Endowment for Financial Education, speak on "Our Country's Current State of Financial Capability." Beck is a member of the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans. He will discuss current research on what works in financial education, the importance of teacher training, and the need for a rigorous national evaluation program. Beck will also explore the implications of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) study that measured the level of financial literacy in 15-year-olds globally.
