HR Professionals Conference in OKC Features Lenora Bresler
Monday, May 4, 2015 6:25 AM

J. Lenora BreslerHuman resources is filled with conventional wisdom about everything from recruiting to training to discipline, but are those tried-and-true strategies actually working? New research reveals they are not!

The hottest books and speakers right now are the so-called “contrarians,” thinkers who urge us to look beyond the traditional and evaluate by the adage “the proof is in the pudding.”

Take a walk on the contrarian side of HR leadership with this exciting presentation by one of the human resource industry’s best received speakers, J. Lenora Bresler. In her talk, "Think Again: A Contrarian's View of Human Resources," Bresler explores how some of HR’s most fundamental practices hurt us, how conventional wisdom in human resources isn’t working, how subtle changes can make huge impacts on culture, and how our own personal idiosyncrasies may be creating impressions in others that, if we knew, would shock us.

This year's HR Professionals Conference will take place June 8-10 at the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City. Register by May 11 to receive the best conference and hotel rates.

Two tracks will be offered, one geared toward the HR generalist in developing and maintaining the skills necessary to manage effective human resources functions; and the other, an executive track, which includes high-level, thought-provoking sessions designed to challenge senior level HR professionals.
