How Well Do You Understand Others? Find Out at Upcoming YP Conference
Friday, July 18, 2014 6:45 AM

Humans are strange creatures that are rather difficult to understand. How many times have you been frustrated with other people you live or work with? “Getting Along” with other people remains a slippery slope to navigate. Just think about what you could truly achieve if you knew how to control your reactions and understand why others are the way they are. At the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s upcoming Young Professionals Conference, Phillip Crocker, training manager and financial educator with Resource One CU, will shed light on how we can all learn how to better understand one another.

Titled, “Understanding Other People,” this session explores how to understand what’s happening in your relationships with others, and offers guidance on how to turn this understanding into a real competitive advantage. Did you know that emotional intelligence still remains one of the top skills needed by employers today?

Session attendees will discover how to overcome barriers and engage in effective and meaningful communication

Cornerstone’s YP Conference is geared toward credit union professionals, age 35 and under, who collaborate with other YPs to:

  • Be a voice in the credit union movement,
  • Educate others about the value of their generation, and
  • Activate to play a role with the credit union difference in their communities.

The conference is being held Aug. 7-8 in Fort Worth. For more information, including registration, please visit the Cornerstone YP Conference website.
