Mark Hixson

Mark Hixson has been named the new president/CEO of River Valley Community Federal Credit Union headquartered in Camden, Arkansas. Hixson was previously vice president of First National Bank in Tenaha, Texas. He brings 16 years of banking experience to his new position at River Valley.

Hixson has experience as a loan officer, branch manager, information technology officer, Bank Secrecy Act officer, and as a member of the bank’s board of directors. Explains Hixson, “Because I worked for a small community bank, I have worn many hats in the organization. I am excited about joining the River Valley family and working with a great group of people. I’m ready to get involved with the credit union’s longstanding tradition of community involvement and giving back.”

“I was raised in Hampton, Arkansas, and graduated from Hampton High School," Hixson says. "I’m also a graduate of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with a degree in business and an emphasis in personal finance and banking. My wife, Amy, and I have two beautiful daughters that we adopted from China. Madalyn Li is five years old and Isabella Mei is two years old. Our family is excited about coming back home and living in Camden.”

River Valley Community Federal Credit Union is headquartered at 340 Cash Road S.W. in Camden with a branch in El Dorado. River Valley is a full-service credit union with $40 million in total assets and 6,947 members.
