Harris Promoted to VP Marketing and Corporate Communications for Generations FCU

Generations Federal Credit Union has announced that Ashley Harris has been promoted to vice president, marketing and corporate communications.

Reporting directly to the executive vice president/chief operating officer, Harris will oversee all decisions involving marketing, internal and external communications, branding, and strategy. Specifically, she will now lead the credit union’s traditional, online, digital, and social media marketing efforts, multi-channel brand marketing, and advertising and creative services. Additionally, Harris will continue to be responsible for all public relations, community relations, and legislative advocacy efforts.

“Since joining Generations, Ashley has been instrumental in raising the visibility of the credit union with both external and internal members,” said Clay Thompson, executive vice president/chief operating officer for Generations Federal Credit Union. “Her knowledge of the credit union industry as well as the San Antonio market have elevated our brand recognition and highlighted our mission of ‘Making a Difference Daily.’ I know she will continue these successes in her expanded role.”

Harris holds two BAs from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is immediate past president of the Alamo Chapter of Credit Unions. Additionally, she is an active member of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio, Class 39.
