Friday, September 13, 2013 6:15 AM

The Cornerstone Credit Union League has scheduled its second Get Stuff Done (GSD) Conference for Oct. 21-22 in Austin. This 2nd annual event is geared towards credit union professionals 35 and under who are tuned into the cooperative movement, passionate about the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and have a desire to showcase the credit union difference in their communities.

Featured speakers include:

  • Sherri Elliott-Yeary, author, speaker and coach. Elliott-Yeary will present, “Bridging the Generations: From Ties to Tattoos. The publication of Ties to Tattoos established Elliott-Yeary as the leading voice in an HR movement which helps companies understand and successfully overcome the challenges of employing a multi-generational workforce. The book examines the profound differences between the four generations in the workplace today and the problems which can arise as a result of generational gaps—including talent retention issues, employee turnover, corporate communication, and sexual harassment claims.
  • Colleen Rickenbacher, speaker, author and “Queen of Etiquette.” According to Rickenbacher, table etiquette and hosting skills should be second-nature to anyone who entertains clients or attends business functions. Her session titled, “Business Dining Etiquette: Steps to Confidence,” conference attendees will learn the basics to be comfortable in the most formal dining settings, or when entertaining a client/customer over a meal.
  • Aric Bostick, a leading motivational speaker and trainer will educate, motivate and inspire attendees in his high-energy, high impact session titled, “Get Fired Up! The Fire is Within You.”

Young credit union professionals interested in attending the upcoming conference should register early to secure a seat at the conference. Additional information is available online, at
