Greater Texas CU Raises Funds for Children's Tumor Foundation
Tuesday, February 20, 2018 6:55 AM

Greater Texas Credit Union has raised $1,664.85 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation through employee fundraising.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation was chosen as the recipient of the credit union's 2017 Give Back Days where employees fundraise one day per month. With 19 branches across Texas, employees choose a statewide or national organization to receive the Give Back funds versus splitting it up between individual chapters of the organization.

The Foundation’s mission is to drive research, expand knowledge, and advance care for the Neurofibromatosis (NF) community with a vision for ending NF overall. NF causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. The term NF represents three distinct disorders known as NF1, NF2, and Schwannomatosis.
