Generations CU Grand Opening

Generations Federal Credit Union in San Antonio continued to expand its branch footprint with the opening of its 15th branch in the newly remodeled H-E-B store in Schertz. The credit union, currently celebrating its 75th anniversary, held a ribbon-cutting event in late April that included Guadalupe County Commissioner (Pct 3) Jim Wolverton; Schertz Mayor Michael Campbell, and Cibolo Mayor Pro Temp Jay Hogue. The new branch is located at IH-35 and 3009.

"Our continued partnership with H-E-B has enabled us to expand our branch footprint in an effective and efficient manner, and at the same time allow us to directly meet the needs of our growing membership," said Steve Schipull, president and CEO of Generations Federal Credit Union. "The new Schertz location allows us to serve some of our longest-tenured members and at the same time, engage with many potential new members."

At the grand opening event, Generations gave away gift cards and shopping bags to Schertz H-E-B shoppers.

All Generations H-E-B retail locations are full-service branches where members and potential members can open accounts, request debit cards and apply for loans, among other services.

Branch hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Bexar County, as well as family of current members, are eligible for membership.

"Generations takes a very tailored approach to banking. Whether it's personalized service or customized products, we believe that making a difference daily in the lives of our members means going above and beyond, every time, every day," concluded Schipull.
