Generations FCU Named PR Daily Social Media Award Finalist

Generations Federal Credit Union in San Antonio has been named as a finalist for Best Use of Twitter in the PR Daily Social Media Awards. Other finalists in the category include WWE Wrestling, JCPenney, Strategic Digital Services for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, and Weber Shandwick for Suave Professionals.

Generations was the only credit union in Texas to be named as a finalist in any category, and Navy Federal and Notre Dame Federal Credit Unions were the only other credit union finalists.

"We've worked very hard for the past several years to restructure our online presence to add value, not just to our members but also to the community at large," said Wendy Bryant-Beswick, chief marketing officer at Generations Federal Credit Union. "It's just a tremendous honor to be named as a finalist among some of the top companies and advertising and PR agencies in the country."

The PR Daily nomination is just one of the many awards and recognitions for the 74-year-old credit union's social media efforts. The Financial Brand has recognized Generations as one of the top credit unions using social media, one of the most liked credit unions on Facebook and most active credit unions on Twitter.

The winners of the PR Daily awards will be announced in late January.
